Multiplying Our Impact With V3
We at Vitality are ardent supporters of social and environmental causes – especially those close to our hearts.
It is integral to our company Purpose and Promise to influence lives in positive ways by sharing our profits to leave a positive social legacy, and V3, our Social Impact Fund, helps us do just that. Since 2003, we have given over $850,000 to our V3 partners and other community organisations.
The Vitality ‘Take a Break’ from MND program
Established in 2010, the Vitality Brands ‘Take a Break’ from MND program has helped improve the lives of people and families living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania by providing them with $500 ‘Take a Break’ grants to spend on anything they consider important to their own, short term, wellbeing.
The AKIN Bakari Micro Loans program, Kenya
The African Kids in Need (AKIN) Bakari Micro Loans program provides small loans to disadvantaged entrepreneurs wishing to start their own business. Our Managing Director James Wright and Social Impact Manager Hayley Wright have been working with AKIN to expand, strengthen and fund the program since 2016. James has since financed nine loans and conducts monthly business mentorship meetings with each loan recipient via Skype.
Surfing Victoria Indigenous SUP program
The Indigenous Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) program is an introduction to surfing program run for indigenous youth across Victoria by Surfing Victoria. The program promotes skills, water safety and healthy habits underpinned by strong Aboriginal community leadership. Our Director Ian Jarman has always believed in the power of sport to promote positive outcomes for those who participate and personally funds the program.
Baan Nokkamin Sponsorship, Thailand
Our Executive Director Richard Meyrick is passionate about helping kids overcome adversity to reach their potential. Richard’s V3 project supports Baan Nokkamin, a foundation that cares for and educates orphaned, drug addicted and homeless children and youth through a network of foster homes in Thailand. Richard sponsors the livelihoods of four foster children in the Baan Nokkamin network.
One of our Vitality Values is together we’re better, which is just as relevant to our social impact efforts as it is to our daily roles. Together, we are able to generate positive outcomes for people, communities and the environment by fundraising and volunteering for a variety of causes close to our hearts.
Vitality donates products to support a wide variety of organisations whether for use or to assist in fundraising. While we would like to support more organisations, we make donations based on strict criteria to ensure it reaches those who need it.
